The Vineyard Plot:
The Les Narvaux climat is located just above the Premier Crus Genevrières and Poruzots. Very well exposed, the soil composition ranges from moderately deep to very rocky, making it a cool and typical Meursault terroir.
Its name, "Les Narvaux,” comes from the fact that this climat is divided into two parts: an upper section, which gives it the prefix "Nar,” referring to shaded heights, and a lower section, which gives it the suffix "Vaux,” referring to a small dry valley.
The Wine:
The color displays a noble, intense yellow hue.
The nose reveals aromas of well-ripened citrus fruits (quince, apricot, yellow apple, and lemon zest), along with vanilla notes and a brioche-like character.
On the palate, it is full and round, with citrus flavors blending beautifully with a chalky minerality, leading to a long and aromatic finish.
This wine is reputed to rival certain Premier Crus of Meursault.
Cellaring Advice:
This wine can be cellared for 3 to 10 years, during which it will reach its peak.
