The Vineyard Plot:
This Meursault plot, "Les Chevalières,” is planted on a gently sloping northeast-facing hillside, slightly influenced by winds coming from the west. Its soil is stony (limestone and gravel) on the upper parts and more clay-rich in the lower section.
Its name, "Les Chevalières,” likely comes from the presence of horses that used the Roman road during the Middle Ages.
The Wine:
In the glass, the color shows an intense saffron yellow hue.
The nose is powerful and pleasant, with aromas of citrus, peach, and mineral notes such as chalk or flint, followed by light brioche nuances.
On the palate, the structure is round and graceful. The style leans toward minerality, accompanied by aromas of yellow fruits—particularly pear—while floral and honey notes complete the wine, leading to a long finish.
Cellaring Advice:
This wine can be cellared for 3 to 7 years.
