The Arpège cuvée by Pascal Doquet is a striking Blanc de Blancs champagne, full of generosity and expressiveness. A perfect cuvée for a gourmet aperitif.
Combining the richness of Chardonnays from the clay-rich terroirs of Vertus with the freshness and minerality of Mont Aimé, the Arpège cuvée reveals a broad aromatic palette.
The Arpège cuvée is vinified two-thirds in stainless steel tanks and one-third in small oak barrels. After fermentation, the wine is aged on its lees for 3 to 4 months to develop a wine with a distinctive personality.
To craft the Arpège cuvée, Pascal Doquet blends 65% wine from the most recent harvest with 35% from a perpetual reserve started in 2012, incorporating each year roughly half wines from the latest vintage.
This champagne displays a pale golden color with golden highlights and fine, abundant bubbles.
On the nose, the Arpège cuvée opens with notes of white fruits and candied citrus, enhanced by a delicate floral touch.
On the palate, it reveals a well-balanced champagne, evolving between a lovely creamy texture and a certain complexity. This cuvée offers a pleasing structure, beautifully expressing the minerality of the Côte des Blancs, and delivers great character, freshness, and balance. The finish is long, with impressive aromatic persistence.
